Hello all,

I am new to this place, and honestly to this community. I have been reading blog posts for quite some time and I have to say some of these stories are incredible.

I thought I had it tough growing up in the bible belt of the south, and being gay. Yet I don't know struggle compared to many of you. Communities like this are the new struggle for equality, and I know it can get discouraging when you get dismissed, discounted, and even insulted or marginalized. Take some solace in the family you make, because the pain and tribulations you folks go through today will make it much easier for those coming tomorrow. Keep up the good fight!

P.S. Sex is wonderful, but it shouldn't define you. Don't feel that you have to do anything you don't want to do, or be extra sexual, or any other thing for attention. There are people out here that will simply love you for you, and will want to love (and sex yes) with you because of who you are, and not what you are. Keep that in mind.
