The Goddess In Each of Us

I am as sure as most anyone can attest to, living the life freely, passionatelly and honestly takes some courage and inner strength, to remain loving and understanding.

there are so many who just do not agree with, are vehemently and vocally disinclined to or even violently opposed to, us just trying to be that which we are.

I used to feel the shame and self hatred they wanted me to feel, i used to feel fear of myself being harmed or killed, to walk down the street, i used to lie to myself and i quickly found the inevitable impass we all find. That immovable force which makes going forward in that state impossible.

What is fear of death to one who lives a life of dullness and unfulfilled dreams?

How can one keep living a lie when the truth is so much more fulfilling and beautiful?

I could feel the shame and self hate or; reach out, connect with someone, bear my self and my soul to friends and worthy people, finding love perhaps and no longer going home alone with no one to hold. To face the long dark night alone, again never!

When i call someone Goddess, it is because there are some of us who live beyond the old beliefs and norms, ones who are not sustained by the safety of fitting in or looking harmless enough to look like just someone else.

We live as much on a song and dance as we, on the edge of a blade.

We are the ones who push boundries, we are the ones who force revision onto history and human potential. We challenge long held beliefs and standing perceptions. We force reexamination and with a single lip pouting kiss; we can stir the passions and vitality in one who has given up on ever being happy.

We try to live in this perfectly pure ideal of being that which we are, that beautiful, person of light and power.

one in touch with his or her self, their loves and passions, courage for their beliefs and resolve for their actions. The ones who live as an example to all, the power of being.

The ones who stand as they are, to whatever opposition, in pride, in truth and in earnest. The ones who lend friendship and love to fellow sisters and brothers in transition, the ones who stand as examples of good wives and mates, community members, and neighbors. The ones who live in the way described of in eulogy, one as never to waste a waking moment nor a breath of air, helping and being the person they are for all to notice.

the ones who await someone, someone wise and appreciative of their femininity, their sensuality and the purpose of their being. Someone worthy of their passion and one aware of his good fortune.

To these ones I call you Goddess!
