The receptionist knows me and has heard me talk many times before, but this morning I woke with a sore throat so my voice has been scratchy all day. She decided to refer to me as "sir" during the entire call, OK so I can handle things like that and just blew it off but then she decided to yell at me for asking her to repeat when my appointment is just to be sure I had everything correct.
Since then, I'm relatively over it. My voice dropped at age 17 and now I sound like a white Barry White or that homeless guy with the golden voice; and I have to admit that it's nice being 30-years-old and getting carded for cigarettes.
On March 1, I started wearing womens clothing almost exclusively, and practicing a more feminine voice. It is difficult to continue talking that way constantly, because I have been, obviously, talking like a male for so long.
