Ratting out fakes

    Bill

What is the right thing to do when you see someone with a fake pic?

I saw a user tonight, sent her an email saying hello, no response. I did an image search and found that she's using a picture from a woman's blog who lives far outside the area she claims to be living in.

Should i rat her out? On the one hand it is petty because she didn't respond to me, on the other hand she's using someone else's picture and i'd want to know if i was pursuing a relationship with a fake.

Hi, we get way too many reports to individually thank people for the reports but do appreciate every one and have been keeping a closer eye on things since Craigslist closed to avoid the site taking a turn for the worse.

The one i met tonight is using pics from Faith daBrooks. I asked her about it, she was adamant it was her pic till i i linked to Faith's blog at http://www.faithdabrooke.com/

              Then she blocked me.

She is currently using a pic from Faith's instagram feed at https://www.instagram.com/faithdabrooke/

Just a heads up, one of you has her as a friend.

Also, pretty much all of the "strict mistress" ones are fake i have found.

Hey, I've flagged known profiles on here and other sites before. I also appreciate communities who call out obvious fake and damaging profiles. Just last week, I came across separate accounts /people on here with the exact same background stories. Exactly the same. Completely different people, completely different conversations. wtf. Two Australian accounts. Anyway, that's what the flag is intended for. All that matters is TGPs validation process and ensuring its a just confirmation process, for both sides.

Hopefully TGP will help clean up the fakes, rogues and solicitor accounts and give this build, functionality and audience a bit of love and respect ;)
