A Date for Lisa with something to learn

A Sweet and Sour…and Sweet again moment
At about 6pm on Friday, July 22 of 2016, a nice man from TGPersonals asked me out on a date. We had been exchanging emails and phone calls for almost a week. There on my bed, entangled in my blanket, I rolled around as I stared at my phone's screen. Scrolling through the usual spammers on the social site, hoping to find a message from a nice gentleman to come to my rescue…before I succumbed to another nap. Then, a little jolt of vibration from an incoming text startled me, it read "Lisa, will you like to go to a movie tonight? I can meet you at a theater in Seattle.” Of course!!! I wanted to yell, instead I counted to three Mississippis, then I replied "Hi Hun, it's nice to hear from you. Sure, I will love to go to a movie."
I then sprung off my bed, reached into the depths of my bins in my closet in search for an outfit. After managing the easiest thing within reach, (the same outfit on my current profile photo at TGPersonals).  I then rushed to the shower  as my stomach began to cry out "I'm hungry!." Due to my unexpected nap, I never ate any lunch. Too bad, I had to keep moving. A second text came in: "Lisa, I should be there by 7pm, the movie starts at 7:30pm. If we don't make it on time, we can always just go to dinner. Is that ok?" Is that ok? I said to myself, you are my kind of man! While in the shower, I made my best attempt to rid of the excess water from my hands, then, with still damped fingers, I pressed along the fonts of my response: "Sounds great to me hun! See you then!"  After my shower, all wrapped in a towel, I ran back to my bedroom where I quickly attended to my make up. First the foundation on my face, then some of the flesh colored powders. Then I slowed down as I worked on the lining of my eyes, and the coloring of my lips. Finally I dressed into my little outfit with low heel sandals…oh yes and then my hair.
I was happy. I was excited. I was fantasizing. I was imagining how nice it will be. Once I snapped out of my daze, I snatched my purse and keys and ran down the stairs. Off to the mall. It didn’t take long to get there, so I had some time to kill. I walked around the mall staring at the marbled floors which reflected shoppers passing by; some took a double look and realized that I was transgendered, others just kept on with their conversations. Another text came in: "Lisa, I'm 2 minutes in." It read. ”OK, I'll meet you at the entrance" I replied. A quick u-turn around a kiosk of wigs, and then through some crowds, and I was on my way back to the entrance. As I passed a group of teen girls, I heard some laughs. I kept on until I heard ”I think it's a man!,” accompanied by more laughs. They hysteria settled when I paused to look at the group. I was saddened and very angry, there was much I wanted to say, but I refrained and continued on. The burst of laughs resumed.                                                                                                                                                           I felt down now. All the excitement and anticipation for what I had hoped began to diminish. Slowly I made my way to the exit doors behind a couple.  The man kindly held the door opened for me after his wife stepped out. “Thank you.” I said. The man responded “You’re welcome miss,” then he reached for his wife’s hand. That moment settled my uncertainties, my sentimental depreciation, that moment refueled the main purpose why I had accepted to come on this date, to have a good time.
Just outside the doors my date was seating on a bench texting me. I called out for him, and after he realized who it was he yelled with a big smile “Lisa!” We hugged and exchanged a kiss. "So nice to see you, wow you look great.” He complimented. “Thank you!” I replied as I looked at him with a smile. “Ready?” He asked while the glare in my eyes held back what had just taken place inside the mall. “Oh yeah, let's do this!" I joked. He held the door open for me as I returned to the mall, this time towards the movie theater. The staff there were very nice and polite as they attended to our tickets. We found our movie room, and once in there we whispered a short conversation before the previews began. It was an enjoyable film. Afterwards we had dinner and dessert along our conversation sprinkled with laughs. It was simply quite the treat. My fantasy, had resumed.
Just how would you handle such situation? One can’t really tell until presented with such situation. All I know is that I’m glad I didn’t let those girls ruin my night. This was a lovely night with a good learning experience!…I hope you also experience such moments when you prevail from down moments, to those which make you much stronger, much happier and with much determination to pursue what you first intended…Thank you!…Kisses…Lisa

I'm glad you had a good date. I usually go to Capitol Hill when I go out, way more accepting environment. I've been out plenty of times enjoying hanging out with a friend, then someone yells "faggot" out a car window. Not as tough as your situation I know, but still annoying. I try to ignore it or laugh it off, but it's tough sometimes. Stay strong!

Thank you Kelly for sharing your thoughts. You are right, they will realize what they did and many other things as they get older. That's why I'm glad my mom always taught me to be nice to anyone, no matter who, especially show respect to adults. Have a good week now!...Kisses...Lisa

Very good to read about a lady meeting an actual gentleman. It's rare these days. Very happy for you.

                  Hi Kelly,

Yup, I wasn't patient enough to count beyond 3 mississippi! :P

What I would've told the girls is: "Girls, I know who I am, and like others who are struggling in my situation we don't deserve to be laughed at or ridiculed, to be bullied. It eventually will come back to haunt you. That's why one should always show respect to anyone, regardless of who they are, or how they are. You will probably understand once you get older."Then I would've just kept on walking.

The guy didn't push for sex, he was a complete gentleman. He works a lot but we should be meeting again soon :)

Thanks for sharing your questions and comments Kelly! Until my next entry. By the way I will be setting up my own blog elsewhere so others can see it that are not in this site, I'll let you know one is up and running! Have a nice Sunday!...Kisses...Lisa
